Montreal is a city of festivals, which occur throughout the year. At the January’s end, the Fete de Neiges – the festival of snow is celebrated with skating, ice carving and tube slides. There is a major St Patrick’s Day Parade that is dedicated to the large part of the population of Montreal celebrating their Irish origins.
